Fullbore Shooting.
“Fullbore” rifles are larger calibre guns, which are shot outdoors. T,R,A has an active programme of fullbore shooting throughout the year, which is mostly done at the superb NRA ranges at Bisley. We shoot at ranges from 100yards up to 1000 yards (yes that is indeed well over half a mile!).
A First World War Lee Enfield.
Fullbore shooting takes many forms, from Target shooting (like Precision Rifle but with bigger bullets), to Practical Rifle, (involving mainly snap and rapid disciplines using quick firing rifles).
Century range on a fine morning.
T,R,A has recently expanded its fullbore shooting. We have a number of members that take there long range shooting seriously, with modern as well as old service rifles (such as the .303 No. 4) for those interested in classic guns.
Ancient and modern rifles in use.
